The Fire Safety Act of 2021 made it clear that the Fire Risk Assessment required by the Fire Safety Order must take flat entrance doors into account. According to the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, self-closing mechanisms must be tested frequently and fire doors, including entrance doors to apartments, must be in good repair and operational condition. These tests make sure that the current door standard is maintained.
